"Golf should be fun, even if you don’t hit the ball very far. From tee 1, for example, the total course length is 3,300 meters, while from tee 4, it’s approximately 5,800 meters," says Mats Wahlin, chairman of the course committee. Out on the course, it’s primarily the diverse and well-maintained green areas that capture attention. Fast and smooth greens along with challenging runoff areas provide golfers with extraordinary challenges.

Beautiful Nature and Rich Wildlife

A distinctive feature of Eckerö Golf is its flat terrain, making it easy to walk. The first nine holes are set in an open landscape, while the back nine wind through the forest.
"You experience great variety in both scenery and wildlife as you walk the course," Wahlin explains, adding that players may spot pheasants, deer, white-tailed eagles, pine trees, and dark tarns while golfing.

Take a break before, after, or between your rounds. By the reception, you’ll find a kiosk offering coffee, ice cream, beer, sandwiches, and more.

Eckerö Golf caters to golfers of all skill levels. Thanks to its four different tees, beginners, juniors, and shorter-hitting players can enjoy a course where reaching the green in the expected number of strokes is achievable. From tee 1, the total course length is 3,300 meters, while tee 4 extends to about 5,800 meters.

The first nine holes are open and set in lush Åland farmland, while the back nine form a woodland course lined with pine forests and wetlands. The flat terrain makes the course easy to walk.

While the course challenges the average golfer, the back nine are particularly suited to elite players. Above all, it’s the diverse and well-maintained greens that stand out – fast and smooth surfaces, combined with tough runoff areas, create unique challenges for golfers.
