Åland's Art Museum and Cultural History Museum
Åland's Art Museum showcases Åland's art from a broad perspective, ranging from paintings and sculptures to installations. In addition, the museum hosts special exhibitions that continuously offer visitors new influences and art pieces.
Åland's Cultural History Museum is the region's main museum for cultural history. The permanent exhibition covers the time from the first inhabitants 7,500 years ago up to the present day. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the portrait wall, adorned with hundreds of photographs of Ålanders and people connected to Åland. Inside, visitors can also enjoy a film installation that displays Åland's nature with its seasonal changes. Read more here

Åland Maritime Museum
Welcome to a time when the earth was flat and the sea teemed with monsters... The Sea Monsters exhibition takes you out on the dangerous waters of the Carta Marina map from 1539. In the exhibition, facts and mythical sea monsters meet. Meet the Giant Sea Serpent and the Blood Sea Sausage, look into the primeval sea through the diver's watch, check out Doctor Pontoppidan's research room and all his exciting gadgets in the museum. At the Åland Maritime Museum, there is much for families to discover. Here, children and adults can go on a treasure hunt together with Ruby the ship rat and look for the quirky little rat holes hidden around the museum. Here you can hoist sails and pretend you're on a stormy sea, stow cargo and take command of your own ship. The Åland Maritime Museum has an impressive collection of ship models, most of them sailing ships. Some are hobby works made by sailors during off duty on board, others are made by professional model builders. What they all have in common is that they testify to skill, knowledge and patience. Disc Golf
Disc golf is a popular sport on Åland and today there are 17 completed courses, but more are planned around the island, which means that the density of courses in the island nation will be the highest in Finland and in the whole world. Leasurepool Mariebad
At the Mariebad leaseurepool in Mariehamn, it's warm and comfortable and it almost feels like you're abroad. Try the steam sauna, cold bassin or just enjoy a swim in one of the warm pools. Indoors, there are several different pools, one of them goes all the way out and you swim under the open sky. Also take the opportunity to ride the 65,5 meter long water slide.
