Harvest Festival at Åland
On September 20-22th, Åland invites you to the highlight of autumn, the Harvest Festival on Åland. For three days you can enjoy good food, open farms and fantastic crafts.
Enjoy the Åland countryside at the height of the harvest season, shop directly from the producers, and eat fantastic food based on local and seasonal ingredients! So unfold the map and plan which farms you will visit to see as much as possible. Perhaps start with a visit to Bolstaholm Farm where you can buy sausages, meat products, and flavorful spices, or Mattas Farm Dairy which practices traditional farming and small-scale milk production. Bring home their delicious cheeses and ice cream. Also, visit Sjökvarteret in Mariehamn or head towards Kastelholm and Mikael "Micke" Björklund's restaurant Smakbyn, where delicious harvest dishes are served for the weekend. Along the way, make many detours to the open farms and Plåpp Åpp destinations. At Plåpp Åpp, you will find time-bound events that pop up here and there during the Harvest Festival.

Free Hop-on-hop-off bus on saturday
This year, together with Lokaltapiola, the Harvest Festival is offering a free Hop-on-hop-off bus on Saturday, September 21st. The bus will travel from Mariehamn to Lumparland, continue to Finström, then to Geta via Hammarland, and back to Mariehamn. See route and schedule here
