Rum tasting with canapés

On September 13th, we invite you to an exclusive rum tasting with accompanying canapés. The tasting will take place at 10.00 and 15.00 in collaboration with Herida Brands.
Price 450:– /person

Together with Herida Brands, we are organizing an exclusive rum cruise featuring a Master Class tasting, including canapés, September 13th, on the 10.00 and 15.00 departure.

Herida Brands is a small family business with a big heart for fine beverages. They import rum, brandy, prosecco, liqueurs, and more from various parts of the world, while also creating their own brands. Some of their products include Arboga Aquavit, Rom-Baronens Aquavit, and now a series of Spanish Brandy, Brandy Mi Familia, to name a few.

Master Class – Exclusive Rum Tasting with Appetizers

To enhance your rum experience, we have crafted a delicious appetizer menu, perfectly composed to elevate the flavors of each rum you taste. The testing is conducted by Daniel di Zazzo from Herida Brands.

- Arehucas 18 yo

- Gold of Mauritius
- Arehucas Cask 60%
- Tres Hombres La Palma ed 17

Canapé Menu:
- Manchego with apricot marmalade
- Smørrebrød with crispy pork belly and pickled red onion
- Crustades with chèvre cream and pear chutney
- Fried onion rings with chili béarnaise sauce
- Pickled ginger pears with white chocolate cream and tart sauce

Price for rum tasting including canapés: 450 SEK
Date and time: September 13th on the 10.00 and 15.00 departure. The tasting will be held in the conference room Båtsman.

The Journey of Rum Around the World

Rum is a noble beverage with a long history. Its origins can be traced back to the Canary Islands when Christopher Columbus brought sugarcane plants to the island of Hispaniola in the West Indies in 1493. The Caribbean archipelago proved to be perfect for growing sugarcane, marking the beginning of something significant. The sugar production resulted in a substantial amount of molasses, and soon it was discovered that mixing it with water and fermenting it in the sun produced a potent product. This led to the distillation of the remaining material in the 1650s, resulting in a high-alcohol beverage. Rum then spread with trading ships and became a beloved drink worldwide.
